"Coaching is not solely walking a client through the interview process. It is about listening. By ratifying the client’s story and experience, we can give him a confident voice to tell his story. One way to accomplish this objective is through a discussion of values. Although values are at the core of our beliefs and thoughts, we do not consciously think about them even though they dictate how we show up in life. Examining our values helps us better understand our identity and increase self-confidence. In the interview process, it also helps answer the vast majority of character/identity-based questions (e.g., what are your greatest strengths?)."
